House retreat Adobe Style. Will and Jada Smith have a house retreat in California that I saw in Architectural Digest some time ago. Adobe-style house with handcrafted details and organic materials and it is so different that I wanted to feature it.
It is a house retreat that is a work of art and no doubt why AD featured it.
Here is the happy family at their entrance.
The detailed door and railing let you know you are in for a rare experience as you tour their Adobe-style home.
A magnificent view. I wonder how they close this up? I do see a shade or something peeking out at the top center of the arch. Maybe there is a button to push and it goes down to enclose the area.
The dining room is drenched in a warm color, and the chairs show the handcrafting that is so prevalent throughout this Adobe-styled home.
This kitchen is so unusual that I had to include it. Again, the handcrafted floor, ceiling, island and cabinets are truly works of art.
Willow’s canopy bedroom. Did you see her performance on X-Factor? She is up and coming!
Adobe-type ceiling, bedframe, and walls in Jaden’s bedroom. Note the chair from the movie he did called The Pursuit of Happyness.
The master bedroom drenched in that warm orange-red.
Circular bath. This retreat just keeps on giving.
A pool in the back. AD says it is a free-form pool by landscape architect, Daniel Busbin. My hubby says this is his kind of pool!
This is a 150-acre property per AD. They are nestled away in privacy and that’s just the way it should be.
I haven’t shown all of the rooms in this Adobe-style house retreat owned by The Will Smith family. There are numerous pictures featured, so check it out at the above link if you want to see more. Let me know what you think.
